They probably do it only once every certain numbers of years, instead of changing it minutely every day.

True. It should also be noted that the speed of the shift isn’t constant. Some years its faster and other years there is little movement.

The FAA changes the runway headings at airports occasionally as the magnetic deviation increases. For incidence, I attended Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach in the early 80's. The runway heading for the main runway back then was 06/24. It's now 07/25. Who navigates with a compass anymore anyway?

Actually, it does make some sense if you understand that many people who live in Warsaw and Krakow don't have cars with automatic transmission.
