56% of the audience voted for "the sun" as the right answer--but maybe some of them were trying to trick him into picking the wrong answer and didn't really believe that themselves.

I think as late as 1776 it was still considered a topic worthy of a debate at Harvard College--which system is right, the Ptolemaic or the Copernican?

I have only watched that stupid show a few times but what I have seen the audience attempts to give the best answer.

I looked up what study was done in the US. it would seem 20% of Americans believe the sun revolves around the earth.

you have to wonder in these polls how many took the 50/50 chance and guessed correctly.
