Rather than engage you in sophomoric attemts and low browed humor I'm going to suggest that you listen to or read the transcripts from that call again.
Rush defended Trump saying that Trump had business dealings in Chicago and even went so far as to say that 'that's the Chicago way', referring to the pay-to-play donations to radical left wingers. It was only later in the call that he went to the lighthearted jokes about cement boots and such.
Not once did he agree Trump was a conservative.
Trump is trying to be a player in the 2012 election with the Republican party. Do you want to see this slim-ball somehow end up with the Republican nomination? I don't and if Rush will defend his donations to radical left wingers then we could very well end up with another 'centrist' as our candidate.

I don’t disagree with that statement but Rush has YEARS of a track record of conservatism so I’m not the least bit concerned about it. One day, one statement doesn’t shake my faith in him. And just as another poster pointed out, Rush said he was going to ask Trump about it. He wasn’t “defending” him at all. I heard the whole thing.

Don’t panic. The election is a ways away. Any naysaying right now will only cause problems.
Trump thinks he is an independent and is trying to cash in on that. He thinks the new group of independents is the traditional independent.
What he fails to realize is that many of us are independent because the Republican party is becoming too liberal for us.
How is that defending Trump? It was a posited explanation because Rush had already said he had no idea why Trump made those donations. Which was also well after he said he would call trump and have him explain why for the caller.
Your time line is wrong so one can only assume you were under the influence, I apologize and will take it you weren't paying close enough attention which must explain why you are here trolling.

I can respect your skepticism toward those that deserve it. I just don’t think Rush does.
I do not for one second believe he would support Trump for president. I think he would choose words carefully against him but certainly NOT endorse nor support him.
If I would end up wrong about that then I’d eat my words but come on, seriously no one can believe Trump would actually get the nomination anyway. To me, moot point.
