I think it is called war.
I got an idea.
Tell the Palis they ARE a state.
And turn off the water, and power that Israel has been providing (for free, IIRC). Same for health care. The Palis can provide their own. Also let ‘em know that any hostile acts (mortar rounds and rockers are hostile acts) will be met with an ultimatum, to be followed by Total War.
Downside is that the Israelis will have to end their blockade, meaning that the Iranian will be able smuggle in some really nasty weapons.
Anschluss? Nein, danke!
They shouldn’t weigh annexation, they should announce it as the planned response. The Palis have to know that if they act unilaterally, Israel will essentially take those areas off the table forever. They should do so anyway, but they’ve put them in play (foolishly) so that would be very difficult for them to do unilaterally right now.
BTW, since no one asked, I was sad when Rabin was assassinated, but the plain fact is that what he did in allowing the PLO to gain control of the arab areas of the so-called West Bank and giving them legitimacy was the greatest blunder in the history of the modern State of Israel. The present conundrum, on top of the murder and maiming of thousands of Israelis, all stem from that act.
High damned time. Thanks Nachum.
Funny, that.
For those of us not in the know of every jot and tittle of Israeli and Palistinian territory, it becomes impossible to make sense of the article to begin with.
If anyone has a concise few sentences of what is being talked about here, hope to hear from you. A simple map would be helpful, if anyone is familiar with the above subject.
