Mika Brzezinski On Trump’s ‘Mean’ Birther Crusade: ‘This Promotes Hate’
Mediaite ^ | March 31, 2011 | Matt Schneider

EXCERPT

Brzezinski’s view on Trump’s fascination with the birth certificate:

“I don’t like this, because I think this promotes hate and this brings us back and I thought we had gotten past this. I really do, and I don’t care how serious he feels about it, there are more important things we need to be talking about. He had a chance. Everybody wanted to hear what he had to say, because of exactly where we are in this country. And people were beginning to look at him and I’m sorry this is a bad call.”

I hesitate at this time to try to present an overview of the President. Yet I have drew from our public library the two books, one "Dreams from my Father" and the "Audacity of Hope". Irrespective of as to whom may have written them, they do tell a story.

For me there is an article written for the "Sundial" a college newspaper, now discontinued. The student Barack Obama who is about 21 years of age, writes in the style of the day. Anti-establishment and anti- war.

I believe that his young mind was completely suborned and corrupted with the cunning people who spotted him and fed him with their mindless agenda. I believe, whether of not, Ayers wrote much of these books, some nasty things happened to a young Obama.

Proof of this is the account at the Occidental College of the drug ridden, spaced out existence of over privileged students. Few, very few young men and women could entirely turn their backs on such ideas and a less than rational attempt to change society. Many of them wised up and gradualy fitted in. Some got into the media as we well know.

This has serious implications for American society. That a corrupt and starry eyed press could allow themselves in the election of 2008 to openly shill for the now President, is a standing disgrace. I am taking a chance here, but it is the minds, behind the now President who are to be feared. For in that old classic British movie, about a fictional major, created to fool the Germans as to where the Allies would land on D Day, it could be that the President is "The Man Who Never Was".

Praying for the Republic here.

Much as I cannot stand birthers and their incessant need to push conspiracy theories long ago discredited, I can stand that pompous ass even less. Sorry, liberalism is based on and needs racism to survive.

...theories long ago discredited...
Once again I find myself asking which "theories" have been discredited and how were they discredited?
Stand by your words by proving them.

LMAO!!!! If they had the brains and street smarts of the Donald, they would be billionaires instead of parrots. They would be working anywhere, except MSNBC.

I have been tempted to read obama’s books(checked out from the library, of course) since reading an essay on Dreams from my father in the Obama reader that the national review sent new subscribers. From what I understand, it paints a very different picture of the one than the press would lead us to believe. Of course, we already know that he is an egotistical and arrogant person. We just don’t know how radical he actually is, and from what I’ve read, it’s very shocking.

The whole kenyan birth idea. Sorry, has not flown since the release of the newspaper announcements. That I’d the moment when Birtherism jumped the shark.

The whole kenyan birth idea.
Well, that's just one of the many theories that have been raised. And since Hawaii allowed foreigners to get a Certification of Live Birth such a theory has in no way been discredited.
Or did you not know that foreigners could get such a document? I can grab that Hawaii law if you would like.
And not to niggle, but you used the plural "theories" numerous times. Is there another or was that just a slip of the fingers?

I'll stand by he's not eligible because his father, purportedly, was a British citizen. The place of his birth isn't that relevant to me. Neither is the birth certificate. The only thing that will verify is whether or not Mr. Dunham can be confirmed to be a liar or not.

I wish I had his salary. Don’t need his medical condition, though.

What does the constitution say is the definition of a natural born citizen?
What does the Constitution say is the definition of a militia?
Still waiting, or will you concede that your original question was completely and utterly asinine?

How do you know that you don't make as much as him? Is his salary public record?
Don’t need his medical condition, though.
I have no idea what that is nor do I particularly care. I've got my own medical concerns to worry me.

No, there is no definition in the constitution of what exactly a natural born citizen is, leaving Congess to fill in the blanks.

I can pretty much guarantee you that I don’t make as much as a nationally syndicated writer, even if he is a damned fool. And the medical condition I was referring to is his bad case of rectal-cranial inversion.;)

Nor is there a definition for a great many things in the Constitution. Your question was pretty asinine after all, wasn't it?

...leaving Congess to fill in the blanks.
Well doesn't Congress have something to help them fill in the blanks?

Yep, cranial rectumitis. I've seen it before.

Opposition to socialism is ALWAYS hate and extremism.
This can be written in advance, just fill in the blanks.

“What does the constitution say is the definition of a natural born citizen?”

Obviously, from the Constitution itself, it defined “natural born Citizen” as separate from the term “born citizen” or “citizen’ for Senator and representative.

Senator Marco Rubio and Governor Bobby Jindal are great Conservative Americans, from what I can tell, and must have had really great and honest parents.

Am I still a “bigot” or “hate filled” DU member, if I feel that Bobby Jindal and Marco Rubio could one day be the proud parent of a future president that is eligible to be our president?

It upsets me to hear Hannity and Levin push either of them as such.

There would be nothing on the long form that would contradict the COLB...

And you know this how?
