A House panel has voted to limit the president's authority to reduce nuclear weapons under a U.S.-Russia treaty overwhelmingly ratified by the Senate last December.
The House Armed Services Committee on Wednesday approved an amendment that says the administration may not spend money to retire weapons until the defense and energy secretaries submit to Congress a modernization plan for the remaining weapons. The vote was 35-26.
Republicans said they were putting the brakes on any effort by the administration to race toward cuts.

Congress should also vote on the amount of CO2 this idiot is allowed to exhale, since he and his clueless minions seem to be so concerned about it.
About 0.00001 liters per year sounds about right.
Good news.. this Idiot in Chief would leave us with nothing to defend ourselves if left unchecked.
The list, ping
Let me know if you would like to be on or off the ping list
But he caught Obama and everyone loves him why would they dare challenge his authority now!!111!!
OK that takes care of the danger from the left.
Now, can we please do something to block outsourcing American jobs and factories?
Every bit the threat. Perhaps more.
Actually, if we abrogated our nuke treaties (since nobody else wants to disarm, it seems) and went into mass production of modern ones, we should create a considerable amount of work- which couldn’t be outsourced...or done by illegals.

And the Russians will never keep up, again.
I can only dream.
This clown didn't catch anyone, he was dragged whining and kicking into it. Narcissiturd!
I keep slipping on that one lol!
True that.
Then restart those F-22 production lines.
If I recall, if the amount of money spent on “TARP” were invested in F-22 production, we’d have about 5,000 of them.

and the proceeds would have actually created jobs rather than just lining the pocket of some union and wall street fat cats.
I wonder if there will be challenges to this, as it may be seen as intruding on the Senate’s & POTUS’ duties (treaties)?
That’s the way to do it. It’ll drive the left nuts, modernize our nuclear arsenal and place us well ahead of any potential state sized enemies for decades.
Worked for Reagan, sounds like chess, though and the lunkheads in DC don’t play that game.
Not sure how the House committee came to believe it has any authority over treaties which are the domain of the Senate and Executive. Maybe someone can enlighten me?
In order to do that (at least that part which can be done) one would have to reign in the environmental propaganda machine aka the Treason Media and destroy the power of the Unions. The first rules triumphant while a beginning is being made in Wisconsin, Indiana, Ohio and some other places.
Market forces determine most of the locations for production and governmental interference with them will only make everyone worse off.
