i see cloud computing as safer - its centralized

i was with a company that had a laptop stolen - it was an hr employee - the laptop had buttloads of employee data on it so they had to give all employees access to a credit bureau (this was before lifelock type businesses)

with cloud computing, that would not happen

cloud computing is NOT having all data everywhere (on all devices) - its having access to centralized data from any device - the devices do not hold the data

we are going back to mainframes - the ones that work, don't get hacked and don't get viruses

agree for business, but would still hold the cetralized distribution point on business premises under business control.

personal use....just not for me.
