I heard this call today and she may be right about younger women, but I have a different reason why many older women feel uncomfortable. I am 73 years old and my wife of 55 years is several years younger. Some years age we went to a car dealer to buy a new car. We were approached by a female sales agent. We discussed the car and agreed to stop back the next evening.

On the way home my wife remarked that she was uncomfortable buying a car from a female. We discussed it and I found out that she did not care for a female boss or any other women in positions of authority.. I think that it is a cultural thing because when we were young in the 40's and 50's all authorities were men except teachers. Incidentally we bought the car from said female.

Yours is a very interesting take on things. I am 67 years old, and I can definitely relate to that way of thinking. We gotta’ change their minds, right? One mind at a time.
