While Barack Obama went to the press for the third time in 17 days, John Boehner and Eric Cantor called his bluff in the House. The Republican leadership announced that the House would vote on a plan to raise the debt ceiling by $2.4 trillion and matching cuts:

"No real budget cuts will not happen until we get a Republican in the WH. The House cannot govern."

I agree 100%. There are 2 great musts for the 2012 election. We must win the presidency and we MUST win a comfortable majority in the senate while maintaining our advantage in the house. The congressional seats are really more critical than the presidency. If we have both the house and the senate we can cut off Obama's manhood, if he has one.

I’m thinking that’s why they are proceeding with a vote-so it can be defeated. If they fail, there will be hell to pay.

I think you are right but I was just wanting any of them that come and read to make sure they get the message.

Ain't gonna happen. The Republicans are selling out every working man and woman in the country. They have no one who'll speak for them. They have no one to vote for.

Of course, I did mean “Billion” instead of “Million” but you are much closer as the “Billion” that the Congress and President have tossed around came down to barely a “Million.”

No one wants to talk about the reason Bush’s budget went sour. Tokyo Rove gave him a Democrat House and Senate, that went on a spending spree. Of course Bush could not spell Veto I guess, because he didn’t learn to write it until it was irrelevant.

Good for the House.

Now let's move on to budget talks and the Ryan plan.

I wouldn’t be too sure. The federal deficit doubled under George W. Bush. Many of the people on the GOP side of Congress today helped Bush explode the debt on his watch.

technically the dems never did pass a budget, but the meaning is clear and the graphs are superb.

This is a good first step when paired with a BBA being approved by the HOUSE/SENATE/POTUS and on its way to the States. It is pretty good fiscally, and it is solid politically. The *real* cure requires an outright win in 2012, and this is a good play. Hey, the public will like it & the Pres & President will try & fail to weasel the situation, making their positions even worse. It even shows, again, that the Dems cannot lead.
