I rode through it in Centerville...it was a rumble that got attention. No aftershocks so far. I am at the air port waiting to head to Iceland so hope there is no activity and no fun and games in Iceland either..no volcanos eruption .
Sitting almost on top of the epicenter of where it happened!
The center was in Mineral, Va. and I am about 20 miles (as the crow flies) from there in Chesterfield.
I was upstairs in the master bedroom when .. all of a sudden I heard a LOUD thud and then what sounded like a runaway train coming towards the house! 8(
Looking out the window I saw the homes around me start to shake and then it started to Really Rattle and shake my house!
Some things were moved around but no damage .. at least none that I can see.
NOW .. we are watching for this Hurricane!
Some reports have it passing ‘directly’ over this very spot! 8(
