White House Hints at More Economic Speeches, Proposals Ahead
fox ^ | Fox

In what could be a way of lowering expectations for next Thursday's big economic speech, aides to President Obama are privately spreading word that he will not present his entire jobs plan in his address to a Joint Session of Congress.

Aides say Thursday's speech will be part of a bigger plan the White House will roll out throughout the fall with the president hitting the road for speeches and town hall appearances. Aides have already confirmed that Obama will be traveling to California, Colorado, and Washington state for one three-day swing later this month that will include economic events as well as some fundraising.

The move could be a way to try and lower the stakes for Thursday's Joint Session appearance, but it could also be an attempt by the administration to show the president is trying to stay all over the economy heading into what will likely be an uphill re-election battle.

The Republican response should point out specifically that the CJCS Admiral Mullen and others have stated that “The nations debt is the greatest threat to our national Security”
It is irresponsible and dangerous to talk about new spending and increases in that debt, when we should be concentrating on lowering the debt to avoid a potential catastrophic failure of the economy.

We need the President to lead on reform of SS and Medicare that are going to destroy the economy with their 100 Trillion plus unfunded future liability price tag.

Mr. President you are directly responsible for managing this debt if you cannot do it then step aside and let those that can bring this country back fix it.

The only objective Zero and Axelrod and crew care about is creating campaign issues. They don’t even understand how a free market economy creates jobs — to them it is just as mysterious as a goose laying golden eggs which they can then steal and share with their supporters.

The plan for Zero’s speech always was to propose something involving increased government spending or increased government control over the economy or creating a political slush fund like an “infrastructure bank” and wait for the House Republicans to kill the idea.

Then they and the MSM run against the Republicans as obstructionists.

What Zero and Axelrod realize is they can’t shoot their entire wad too early. They need to come out with some things now, let Republicans reject it, come out with something later, let Republicans reject it, and keep running that play all the way through campaign season until the goal line.

How about as soon as he steps out of the WH come Jan, 2013, we find the tallest m#$#f$#ing tree around??

Ugh, so sick of his grandstanding, lying, pompous ass.

I no longer own stocks because Obama sinks them every time he opens his mouth.

Correlation: Obamacare = no more jobs creation.

Until the marxist is gone, the stock market will be in the toilet and so will the dollar (and the euro). Those are just facts. Gold, Canadian dollars, Australian dollars, and Swiss Francs are the only relatively safe investments.

The speeches are for his own ego, nothing more. He will still do everything he can to destroy the nation. I just hope we can survive his presidency at this point. Not sure that is even possible.

What really pisses me off is Zero's speech is going to pre-empt Big Brother on TV.

I had high blood pressure two weeks ago and stopped watching anytime Obama or his spokesmouth Carney the creep come on Fox News. I mute it and guess what? My blood pressure returned is back to better than normal!!!

Obama and Carney causes high blood pressure, since they have warning on booze, cigarettes, ect... maybe everytime Zero or his minions come on television we should get a viewer warning.

I believe they're in Washington to do nothing but scam billions out of the system.

Where did the stimulus money go? Where did the Solyndra money go? It has all "Disappeared" without a trace. Who's pocketing it? Trillions have gone.....somewhere.
I think this is why the administration could care less about what's going on in this country. All Oboma does is give speeches, and the DOJ simply protects his own. No one is actually doing anything substantial. The only thing moving is money - BIG money - and no one knows where it's moving to.

Why is the American taxpayer funding his political fundraisers?

The economy continues to get in the way of their electioneering. Things are going to hell in a handbasket and the only way they know to change it around is to campaign. But the economy won’t let them. Every time they start more bad news erupts. It’s a vicious cycle (from their point-of-view). They’ve done everything they were told would work. It hasn’t. That leaves them clueless. What to do?

Now, what was to be a major speech before Congress gets bumped by a recalcitrant Speaker, and now the August jobs report comes out. It’s back to the drawing board. What was to be another round of same-’ol, same-’ol, has to be revamped into something else. But what? That’s part of the Camp David weekend, I’m sure, and part of what this new strategy is all about. It’ll take time, so let’s get out in front of it and announce more planning beyond the speech.

The problem is, that shows them for what they are; useless when it comes to meaningful ideas. They’ve approached the issue from day 1 on the wrong side, and can’t see beyond their little, house of cards. So what we have left, today, this coming week, through the election, is more of the same. Speeches, campaigning, tours, vacations, golf, camera time. The only asset is Obama, and they can’t do without it.

Relax. This is good, not from an economy standpoint, nor from a job standpoint for those out of work or worried about being so. But it is good for the future. It shows like nothing else, the emperor has no clothes.

I’ve been saying for weeks that this speech will be the biggest face-plant by a sitting President ever.

Our Kenyan boy-king simply does not understand the ways of the people within whose government he has insinuated himself.

Oh geez, more speeches. He’s got to be the most omnipresent continual threat of a national disaster of all time. Just chipping away at our exceptionalism at every opportunity. It’s as if he wants us all to be just like him, God forbid.

Zero’s economic speeches are as bad as his economy is. It takes a real master to be absurd and boring at the same time.

I have some great election/campaign advice for 0bama.

Sit down, shut up, propose nothing, and eliminate 0bamacare. Oh, and tell Dingy Harry to fully cooperate, and sign all legislation that comes out of the House..

There you go Barry, a landslide in 2012.

...that he will not present his entire jobs plan in his address to a Joint Session of Congress.

He won't present it...because he has not read it.

Zero is going to be briefed on the plan, bit by bit, by his handlers. He won't read any of it...I doubt that they trust him to even understand anything anymore, he is just so out of it.

He will be pumped up on talking points, the teleprompter will guide what he reads aloud, and then off he will go. The plan is to get him out of Washington as much as possible after "his "jobs plan is dumped on Congress. That way he will be removed from any serious questioning or criticisms.

Aides and his puppet masters know they have to keep him traveling. He hates Washington. But they want him there for the next four years. So they have scheduled more million dollar bus stops, will stuff him full of ice cream (and drugs), and pay some union members to show up at those stops through the U.S. They will only bring him back for Tee time on Saturdays. The intention is to do anything to keep his melt down and complete loss of confidence from showing too much. The coddling they have done for the past three years, the adoring fans, drugs, and cigarettes just are not working for him any more. If he were not in the White House, I am sure he would be on the psychologist's couch by now, or in a rehabilitation center.

His malignant narcissism and thin skin have been punctured hard and too often. He has no self resources left, and he had very little to start. Expect even more vacation time, more travel in the bus, more inavailability, and, oh yes, some appearances on the lib talk shows where they still love him and will protect him . Anything that can be scheduled to get him out of the Oval Office will be done. Every precaution is now going to be taken to keep him looking "whole" while he has fallen apart under the pressure of the job (he couldn't do) and the polls that have him in the tank.

And, remember, while Zero is out there campaigning (they will call it explaining his jobs agenda)...the taxpayers will be paying for all of it.

It’s Obama’s version of waterboarding. He figures any congressman or voter will give up if subjected to enough Obama speeches.

ROFLOL, but probably true.
