Reminds me of the hole (trap) constructed by ant lions in the dusty soil. Maybe we have neighbors?? ;-)
When I was a small dude we called them Doodle Bugs and of course to catch one we would tickle the side of the hole all the while we would say Doodle, doodle, doodle, doodle...waiting for the doodle bug to attack.
