To: null and void

He had a valid passport, but was working at a grocery store? I do not think having a passport to be in the US entitles one to be able to legally work. They would need an H1-B to legally work here. Did he have one of those I wonder?

An H1-B is for high-tech indentured servitude. A green card suffices for normal work.
