“It hasn’t fit that description in my lifespan, and if documentary films are to be believed, it hasn’t fit that description since about 1960.”

It really started going downhill in the late 60’s. I left SoCal around 1973, and by that time, we started using the term “barrio” a lot.

After the fall of Saigon, East LA also became home to Vietnamese refugees, which has actually had a stabilizing effect, from what I can tell.

But still. Do you know just how HARD it would be to dig up Disneyland and move it somewhere else? So we can’t give up on California!

Disneyland in Anaheim was surrounded by an increasingly high crime areas when I left CA for good in the 90s. I understand it hasn’t gotten any better, either.

It could become DisneyMex, and we could use the Florida Disneyworld as the primary instead of backup. :P

It would be easier to move Disney Land than getting the residents to stop voting for looney leftists.

If we could leave the Dems there, it would be tempting.
