Occupy Wall Street does have a message

**SNIP**

“I think what they’re doing is lobbying in an unorthodox way,” said U.S. Rep. Emanuel Cleaver, a Kansas City Democrat, who observed the protests in New York over the weekend.

“The main message is: ‘We are tired of allowing the federal government to lean toward the wealthy.’”

There is no denying that a vast segment of Congress is beholden to policies that favor wealthy corporations and financial interests and very rich individuals — exactly the interests that are most capable of bankrolling campaigns.

**SNIP**

They see a Washington establishment that has ignored thoughtful prescriptions for deficit reduction but that insists programs designed to help with foreclosure relief, educational opportunities and access to health care constitute “big government.”

The Occupy movement is about people saying to Washington: “We are out here. Hear us, see us. Pay attention.”

It is message enough.

People who are genuinely struggling see a Congress that repeatedly takes aim at federal jobless benefits, even as it categorically refuses to reform a lopsided tax code or close glaring tax loopholes.

And there are a couple hundred million of us who aren’t out in the streets. Ignore us at your own peril.

Make no mistake.

It isn’;t the wealthy that will carry the burden of change. It isn’t the 1% who will get screwed.

It is the 53% who are paying out of the ass right now who will provide for these turds doing the demonstrating.

No kidding. We are supposed to take our marching orders from a bunch of snot nosed kids who have never done anything with their lives? Seems like their only experiences in life are sex, drugs and being brainwashed in college. The ‘ITS ALL ABOUT ME GENERATION’ is the brain trust for the dim party. Pathetic.

These are the kind of idiots who get lost in a corn maze and call 911 for rescue. They can’t survive without us but their passing would be barely noted by us.

“The main message is: ‘We are tired of allowing the federal government to lean toward the wealthy Republicans who create jobs.”

Fixed it.

Nix that.

“The main message is: ‘We are tired of the federal government.”

Think that is better.

The main message is

“we want to continue to live at the expense of others”

and its correlary

“give us stuff, but we don’t want to work for it”

“The main message is: ‘We are tired of allowing the federal government to lean toward the wealthy.’”

Possibly the most ludicrous statement ever committed to print.

Have these people seen the modern welfare state? The cities within cities of nothing but federally-funded housing? The less these people do, the more they are rewarded, except in the case of having more children out of wedlock. Armies of so-called social workers and bureaucrats are mustered to look after this bone-idle, fornicating, drunken herd of breeding stock.

Have they seen what business owners and employees simply earning a crust must go through every quarter/year in terms of taxes, paperwork, etc.? Nearly half their earnings are taken at gunpoint with nary a thank-you - in fact, it's usually verbal abuse and threats from the recipients as is the case with the protests.

Leaning towards the wealthy? Unbelievable.

And they presume to scold bankers about *greed*. Perhaps the old schoolyard “takes one to know one” taunt applies.

The message seems to be, “we just want the paycheck not the job.”

Cleaver doing more of what he does best, pandering to the welfare constituency he helped create.

Well, people are paying attention, and that's a shame.

Now then, an anecdote: I was walking up the West Side. I happened to notice a kid (a white college kid in a group of white kids -- probably from Fordham Law) walking the other way with a "Wall Street Sucks" t-shirt on. I just glanced at it, just long enough for it to register. He apparently notice me glancing and visibly shrunk away.

They have no backbone. They should be shooed like maggots.
