The People of Occupy Wall Street - like the people of Wal-Mart, only not as smart

It began when a small group gathered on Wall Street to protest about the dire state of the U.S. economy. Almost a month later that crowd has swelled to several thousand people who have clashed with police sparking mass arrests. The protest, coined 'Occupy Wall Street', has inspired similar demonstrations across America and become fuel for the Republicans as the presidential race heats up. Many of the protesters are students, angry about the amount of money they owe for an education they say is now worthless because of widespread unemployment. But, as one American blog suggests, no one forced these people to spend thousands of dollars on so-called worthless degrees. Here the MOTUS (Mirror of the United States) blog takes a wry look at a handful of protesters who have posted their plight online.

Silly twits, they are being paid.

If I lived in the Bung Apple I'd (and I'd insist my pals) poop in bags then take them down to Insanity Park and leave them there. I don't live in Puke York but if you do it's the least you can do. Do do it!

Check out this site; http://www.peopleofwalmart.com/
Some whacky stuff here, but these WalMart customers look perfectly normal compared to the, as Ann Coulter so rightfully calls them, the FLEA BAG PARTY known as OWS.

Hey, I've bought quite a few lottery tickets that are worthless, but I don't b*tch about it. Not to mention the odds of hitting the right numbers are much crappier than benefitting financially from a college education.

Hilarious.

Every time I hear the demands for jobs, better pay, no tuition, etc, I remember something my father said to me (and every other father in history said to every other son): “The world doesn’t owe you a living!”

It’s one of those very important life lessons that seems to have been forgotten.

POWS - ‘People of Occupy Wall Street’ are really ‘Pawns of One World Socialism’. The only thing they’ll give you is an equal share of misery.

Perhaps the "education" they received was worthless while they were getting it and even more so now that they are being asked to market it and pay for it?

Colleges have way too many non-marketable degrees now. What do these kids expect?

The worst part here is that these young people's education has schooled them to place the blame on the system. They look everywhere except where it'd do some good, at their own choices!!!

“Colleges have way too many non-marketable degrees now. “

No one forces anyone to take them.

“What do these kids expect? “

To be able to make money by putting in the least possible effort and then start at seven hundred thousand or more a year with regular raises. Then of course, being able to decide their own hours, decide how much they will do on a daily basis, and how the company will supply them with perks. All within the first year. They want a lifestyle, not a career that they dedicate themselves to.

We had a kid interview with our small (18 lawyers) law firm. He just graduated from law school and had no experience. When asked what his salary requirements were, he asked for $125k to start, a blackberry paid for by the firm, a car, and a few other things... The interview ended right there.

“The world doesn’t owe you a living!”

And my dad taught me, “Idle hands are the devil’s workshop.”

If the little idiot had done part time work or volunteered in a law office and had as many years in an office as he did school, he MIGHT be worthy of it. But since he didn’t you had every reason to end up kicking him to the curb. It’s not about schooling, it’s about experience.

Must be one odd sheep.
Most sheep are very productive and useful.
Merino wool, sheep’s milk cheese, lamb, mutton and they keep the grass trimmed.

The protesters?
What have they produced?

I know this thread is months old but, I think I am seeing something at my local Walmart and was doing some research.

A friend who previously celebrated OWS miscreants right to protest is seeing it to and is a bit concerned.

I think that for many people protesting is great so long as it doesn’t affect you or isn’t really that near you. However, the views change when you are going to your local Walmart and seeing what looks like OWS A-holes camping in front of your store.

Unsettling? To mu friend yes. To me, I have been waiting.

I found your thread while researching OWS A-HOLES &WALMART.

Don’t know if you have been keeping up with OWS anymore than myself or other Freepers but running across your thread I’d like to ask “Do you know of any plans by OWS to occupy Walmart?”

Of course I know their plans for abandoned properties, commercial and residential but, I am unaware of their plans for local Walmarts.

Yes, I am aware of their efforts to disrupt distribution bit don’t currently have any Intel on local stores.

Do you have any Intel?

I don’t want to raise this on a new post as I want maintain focus on defeating Romney (my thing) and ultimately Barry Sotero.

Thanks for any info.

Feel free to ping anyone else.
