What a bunch of whiners!! What type of person has the time, money, and energy to protest day after day after day?

My first job was in 1983 hoeing weeds in an almond orchard. I then sorted tomtaoes in a canary before moving on to dishwasher at a breakfast restaraunt . You see, I didn't envy the rich when I was young, I was never too good to do any job and was always grateful for the opportunities I found.

I had no skills!! Why wouldn't I work for minimum wage? I eventually got a job delivering screws, nuts, and bolts. From there I started at community college. In time, I transferred to a university. Delivering nuts and bolts was getting to be a drag so I got a job as a stock room person in the chemistry department. At this job, I met someone who got me in a part-time job as a technician at a start-up company. I finished my degree and went full time at the start-up company. I used the money from this job to put my eventual wife through vet school. When my wife graduated from vet school, she put me through graduate school where I got a PhD in chemistry.

This all started with a crappy minimum wage job working in the fields!! When my wife and I met we had maybe $2000 between us and two crappy cars. The point is not that I'm something special. The point is that I'm not something special!!! My kids are now in there late teens and always tell my them one of the best lessons I learned was: In life, you'll always find exactly what you're looking for. If you look for success you'll find it. If you look for excuses you'll find that just as easily. Choose wisely!!! The Wall Street Protesters are looking for excuses and they've found them with the encouragement of our own President. I told my son that's good news for him because now he'll have less people getting in the way when he's looking for success.

That’s an excellent post. BRAVO to you and your family.

Almond orchard? Central valley in CA?

You had $2000 between you two when you got married? That would have been a fortune to my husband and I when we got married in 1955 as it would be to a lot of people here. We had my paycheck ($50 gross weekly) and his mustering out pay from the USMC. College for him on the GI bill and that was $100 a month.

These creeps protesting have no clue!!! And the ones reporting on it don’t either!
