Hmmm..."global economic consequences"....hmmmm...rather than global "nuclear" consequences.

Oh,..thats right. There is an election coming up and wouldn't want democratic jews upset when Obama would have to choose who to support.

He should talk. It’s okay if the US goes and does it but when Israel sees an imminent threat to its survival it’s a “you better not do that”

Ordinarily, an ally of Israel would be expected to warn Iran of the consequences of continuing its nuclear program.

That’s what an ally might do.

Was he still talking about Israel? He prefers sanctions against Israel, but would consider nuking Tel Aviv if the Jews get out of line? Is that the message that Obama sent?

Wow...now SECDEF sees India as a global threat...Hmm..the Microsoft help desk will be mortified.

“We face the threats from rising powers — China, India, others — that we have to always have sufficient force protection out there in the Pacific to make sure they know we’re never going anywhere,” Mr. Panetta said.

There is no real need to conquer Iran as with Iraq. Bomb their nuke capacity back to the stone age and then conquer the coast from Basra to Hormuz.

Conquer Elam.

I oppose nation building. I support standing off and causing massive destruction. Nukes are always on the table, as far as I’m concerned. The idea of cleaning up the damage afterwards ... why would we care? We won the war. Now stop causing trouble and rebuild yourself.

Gads, grow a brain Panetta. Israel is in the midst of hell over there and you’re talking like you can just waltz out of all this anti-semitic hate? Someone give him a home to LIVE in in Sderot.

“not just on our economy but the world economy.”

Nothing like setting the stage for revival of hatred...

The consequences are energy prices going up, our economy tanking even further and Zero unquestionably losing reelection.

Start the bombing.

I was in the middle of the Persian Gulf when they fired a Silkworm at us. Lousy Chinese missile way back then, so no problem. But they’ve upgraded and that’s a narrow gulf, especially Hormuz.

That’s why we conquer it. They won’t be able to shoot because they won’t control the east coast of the Persian Gulf anymore.

It doesn’t make sense for an unstable nation to control any shore of that gulf.

A nuclear weapon or two, unleashed on a nation the size of New Jersey would be devastating. Let Panetta live in Iran’s crosshairs for awhile. Bet he changes his tune really quickly.
