I’m more troubled though by him taking that 1.6 million from FNMA and Freddie Mac. That just reeks of insider and playoffs.

And the part about those with families here, means that there have been children born, and those childre are AUTOMATICALLY US Citizens. It's just a fact.
It's the anchor baby law. It has yet to be changed, and any new law will not apply to those made citizens prior to the enactment of any new law, because the US Constitution forbids ex post facto laws.

I don’t think what he says in any way sounds like amnesty. He talks about a hypothetical where an illegal is here 25 years with family here, and being deported. He says we will follow the law, there will be stiff penalities.
I’m convinced now that people hear what they wish hear with their candidate and the ones they dislike.

What has the GOP done so far? What part of common sense don’t you get? Are you actually living in a dream world where ALL the illegals will be deported? Anyone that makes you that promise, is a conman for they know all they have to do is tickle your ears and they have you.
Newt is a guy who attempts to fool people with regard to what he would actually govern like. He talks a good game, and then reveals himself to be what he truly is, something totally different.
Too bad, because if he lived up to what he knows to be right, he’s be a very good leader.
