Those old depression era movies seem more relevant the last few years too.

Yes, they have all same "stock characters" we see/read about in the news every day now ... the corrupt politicians and their cronies, the people who are doing their best and not making it, the people who are useless parasites, the people who help others and the people who won't.

Nothing is ever really new. It's comforting, in a way, but discouraging in others.
