Speaking at a campaign rally on October 28, Ron Paul offered another erratic speech on foreign policy and, disturbingly, referred to whistleblowers such as Wikileaks as true patriots and political heroes.
In remarks against government secrecy, Paul suggested the following:
What about giving immunity to the whistleblowers? Theyre the ones who need immunity. We have a few brave souls, especially in the foreign policy area it came up in Vietnam, its come up more recently, Wikileaks technically yes, theyre breaking a rule, but what is the government doing? Theyre breaking the law.
If we have an American citizen that is willing to take the consequences and practice civil disobedience and say, This is what our governments doing, should he be locked up and imprisoned? Or should we see him as a political hero? Maybe he is a true patriot who reveals whats going on in government.
Leaving aside the moral objections most people would have to calling Wikileaks patriotic, Paul lets his zeal blind him from the fact that an American citizen, such as Bradley Manning, working with Wikileaks isnt just technically breaking a rule but in fact breaking the law the Espionage Act, specifically, as well as the Uniform Code of Military Justice, for, among other counts, disclosing classified information concerning the national defense with reason to believe that the information could cause injury to the United States.

The next question: Will the media do the same?
Ron Paul is as close to insane as you can get and still be walking the streets.
Then, everybody would be immunized against any retribution should one of them get angry and hurt the spies and their enablers.
Just leave it up to the people to make a decision on any punishment or public response.
His hatred of America came out(again).
We need him in the debates if only for comic relief.
One more reason that I don’t like the guy. First, it was making our military into privateers by issuing Letters of Marq, then he says it’s okay for Iran to have the bomb. Paul has some good ideas, but is dangerous, and so are all of his non-critically thinking followers.
Bradly Manning should be shot.
It’s always bizarre if it is Ron Paul. Ron Paul is the poster boy for political bizarrness. He’s a very dangerous guy because he can’t critically think. That moral compass is spinning wildly.
Please Please, Paul, keep opening you mouth. Every time you do a few hundred thousand more Americans realize your are a nut case
Ron Paul Goes Full Metal Truther
"And its
just think of what happened after 9/11. Immediately, before there was any assessment, there was glee in the administration because now we can invade Iraq. So the war drums beat

RuPaul, aka Ron Paul votes for Homos in the Military
Just a few examples from the article...
REP. PAUL: I vote against it, so I don't endorse the system.
MR. RUSSERT: But when it passes overwhelmingly, you take the money back home.
REP. PAUL: I don't take it. That's the system.
FYI, the only pols in DC protecting whistleblowers are Sen. Charles Grassley and Cong. Darrel Issa. Are you calling them nuts too!
There is a giant difference between a whistleblower and a traitor.
Manning would have gone through the chain of command and proper channels if he had a whistle to blow. Grassley and Issa have nothing to do with the situation. Nice diversion try, no cigar.
Ron Paul is a very, very old anti-semite conspiracy theorist and racist.
I wasn’t excusing Manning’s treason, he would be treated much more harshly if I was in charge of Leavenworth than it’s current warden. The point I was making was protection of legitimate whistleblowers like the brave BATF agents who spilled the beans on Fast & Furious. They are just an example.
And yet Ann Coulter would vote for Paul over Gingrich. *SIGH*
Well she would vote for Romney first and foremost...then Paul over Newt... um...WHAT??? Annie has been sipping too much Kool Aid I am afraid.
