Navy Seal Sharpshooter Chris Kyle talks to Opie and Anthony about the time he punched Jesse Ventura in the face, knocked him on his ass and took off before cops could bust him.
(video at link)
Jesse Ventura was NO NAVY SEAL. He was UDT, Underwater Demolitions Team, but since the UDT were the first to be allowed to later call themselves SEALS after far more intensive training than UDT got, Jesse usurped the “I WAS A NAVY SEAL” line.
Too bad this Navy SEAL didn’t cut Jesse’s pony tail off.
Let me guess, it was some bigoted anti-religion remark.
Since Jesse Ventura is all ass, it’s not clear what he fell upon after being punched.
Technically, I’d need to hear George “Jesse Ventura” Janos’s side of this to judge,
but if the tale is true, Ventura had it coming. I don’t begrudge opposition to a particular war, but a wake for one of the war’s fallen is NOT the place or time for voicing that opposition, let alone so callously as this allegedly was done.
You guessed wrong. It was a Truther, insult to a fallen soldier type of remark. You were correct that Ventura is an ass though. He is.
WTAM, 1100 radio, here in Cleveland. Mike Trivisanno, features interviews with “Mr. Blue.” They electronically alter his voice, but it’s obvious as Heck the it’s Ventura. I called Mike on it, and they didn’t answer, just altered the voice a bit more. Jesse has very distinct voice patterns, and mannerisms. No mistaking them!
where’s Adorable Adrian Adonis?
Couldn’t have happened to a nicer douche bag.
I listened to the entire interview yesterday and Chris Kyle is the real deal. When they got to Ventura taking it the face from a real SEAL, a big grin spread across my face. Jesse is an ASS.
I thought that clown was leaving America?
Captain Larry Bailey, USN, (ret) is sudden death on wannabes and has worked diligently to expose them over the years.
He says Jesse Ventura was a SEAL, and to the best of my knowledge, he has not retreated from that. The way I understand it, both SEALS and UDT must graduate from BUDS, and that’s the only thing that counts — to them.
Unless someone of equal or higher stature tells me otherwise, that’s good enough for me.
BTW, I think Ventura is a jerk.
Graduating from BUDS does not make you a SEAL, there is an additional 6 months of SQT (SEAL qualification training) before you become a SEAL.
So is Capt. Larry Bailey (post 11) wrong then?
Still on his knees in front of Verne Gagne....
I don’t know exactly what Capt Bailey said, and I don’t know exactly what training Jesse completed, but I am very close with a former Navy SEAL and we have discussed in detail what the requirements to be considered a SEAL are.
I have met Larry on several occasions, was always a straight shooter.
First off, SEAL should be all caps.
Good for the Navy SEAL for punching that jerk. Too bad he didn’t break the mush-heads nose.
From September 11, 1969, to September 10, 1975, during the Vietnam War era, Ventura served in the United States Navy.
Ventura graduated with BUD/S class 58 in December 1970[7] and was part of Underwater Demolition Team 12 (UDT).[8]
The UDTs were merged with the US Navy SEALs in 1983, 8 years after Ventura had left the Navy.
Bill Salisbury, an attorney in San Diego and a former Navy SEAL officer, accused Ventura of “pretending” to be a SEAL and wrote that Ventura would be blurring an important distinction by claiming to be a SEAL when he was actually a frogman with the UDT.
Compared to SEAL Teams, UDTs saw less combat and took fewer casualties.[9][10][11]
Following that, Governor Ventura’s office confirmed that Ventura was a member of the UDTs. His spokesman stated that Ventura has never tried to convince people otherwise.[9] Ventura stated: “Today we refer to all of us as SEALs; that’s all it is,” and described the accusations of lying about being a SEAL as “[m]uch ado about nothing.”[11]
Ventura has frequently referred to his military career in public statements and debates.[9][12][13]
He was criticized by hunters and conservationists for stating in an interview with the Minneapolis StarTribune in April 2001, “Until you have hunted men, you haven’t hunted yet.”[13][14]
In January 2002, Ventura disclosed for the first time that he did not see combat. He did NOT receive the Combat Action Ribbon, which was awarded to those involved in a firefight or who went on clandestine or special operations where the risk of enemy fire was great or expected.[8]
