Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, commenting on the South Carolina primary results to Fox News on Saturday, had a bit of fun at the president's expense when asked for her analysis of the race.

Palin said there's still a long way to go in the primary process, with 47 states left.

"Or, if you’re Barack Obama, [we] still have 54 states to go," Palin said, referring to Obama's comment back on the 2008 campaign trail that the United States had 57 states."

Yes! All Republicans need to go on the offense against BOH. Just like Ronald Wilson Reagan did against Jimmy Carter , at among other locations, Liberty State Park in Jersey City on September 1st, 1980. Yes, I was in the audience.

At the next debate Newt needs to have a list of the daily infractions zero has committed. Then ask every moderator for two random days. Then state what zero did those two days. It would speak volumes.

All Newt needs to do is name Palin as his running mate (right now) and he would win the nomination in a landslide.

Gingrich/Palin would cause the Left to go into China-syndrome meltdown mode.

No other VP candidate would do that.

Good enough reason for Newt to pick her.

Agreed. You need energy to win elections, and Sarah P. is the font of much of the Tea Party enthusiasm. I doubt seriously he would ask though, or if he did that she would accept.

Remember the ending of the first Indiana Jones move? When the Nazi melted?

Yeah, sort of like that :)

When Sarah said that, we laughed out loud. Who can ever forget Hussein saying that he’d visited 57 states and only had one more to visit? Frickin’ fool.

Whomever our GOP candidate is — and I hope it’s the bombastic Newt — he MUST do what the GOP never does. The candidate needs to be pro-active and not re-active. He needs to strike first, and often, and with no mercy. Be on such an offensive that Hussein won’t know what hit him and will have no time to respond or re-group before the next verbal attack.

I know there’s not that kind of fire in Romney’s belly, and Santorum would try but couldn’t pull it off. Newt can do it, and I pray he does.

Absolutely. Treat him like the laughing stock that he is.

I agree that the Republicans need to throw Obama's gaffes (and Biden's too) right in his face over and over again.

For example, the liberals howled at Dan Quayle for years over his spelling of potato. Compared to Obama, Dan Quayle is a Rhodes scholar and the Republicans need to make Obama the laughingstock that he is.

Exactly! If all the candidates fired off zingers against Obama and the Press as a preface to a serious response, no one could take Obama or the Press very seriously.
