My home sits on a gravel bench in a U-shaped valley. Glaciers were here less than 10 millenia ago. Hell, the MacBeth Icefield is a day-hike from here.

I’m hoping for global warming, anthropogenic or otherwise - no colder winters, please!

In the context of an ice age - it is worth noting that it was estimated that the glaciers during the last Ice Age took only 100 years to form and grow to 2 kilometers high ...
