I am inclined to believe that santorum was pumped up to keep gingrich from regaining momentum, and to be the #2 in the process.
Yes, but why would Santorum be SO vitriolic in his attacks on Romney? If he was aiming for Vice President I would think he’d be a bit more measured in his tone toward the possible nominee.
For what it’s worth, I don’t think Santorum is going through all this to be Vice President. I think he really really really really wants to be President. Just like all of them.
