Talk about awkward.
When President Obama hosts former President George W. Bush at the White House on Thursday to unveil his predecessors official portrait, hell pay tribute to the man whom he has blamed lately for everything short of an outbreak of the flesh-eating virus.
The war in Iraq? An unnecessary and costly diversion that was Mr. Bushs fault, according to Mr. Obama.
The worst recession since World War II? The president says Mr. Bush and the GOP are to blame.
Soaring deficits? Mr. Obamas mantra is that he inherited the red ink from the Republican.
The Wall Street collapse? See Bush, George W.
Loss of Americas prestige in the eyes of the world? Mr. Obama has laid that allegation on Mr. Bushs doorstep, too.
At a fundraiser in California last week, Mr. Obama used Mr. Bush as his foil to raise more money for his re-election campaign. The president began by criticizing GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney for planning bigger tax cuts for the wealthiest Americans, deep cuts in funding for education and Medicare, and deregulation of the banking and insurance industries.
But thats not new, Mr. Obama told the crowd. That was tried, remember? The last guy did all this.

Big time.
That pic would be a good study for Zer0’s eventual portrait.
LOL, how great it would be if could be like an “Impractical Jokers” skit.....they both think it’s a portrait, but it turns out to be that graphic instead.
Hussein is a sick and twisted individual. Very remniscent of the young man from “Psycho.”
Of course he will. He always does.
The one thing I hate most about GW.
He’s a gentleman but not afraid to walk into the squatter’s den.
There was a picture of BO that was supposedly taken the night OBL was taken out. It was a pic of the back of him, much like this picture and was thought to have been photoshopped onto the scene. Is this the same picture?
Why does anyone think this would be awkward for Obama. He has no shame and no conscience. He’ll pretend everything is ok and make some flowering speech. The next day he’ll go out and trash Bush without a second thought.
It certainly would be great fun if ole Georgie popped him in the mouth one time when the cameras weren’t watching. For the sake of manly honor, you understand. “Don’t mess with Texas ...” That sort of thing.
The Secret Service agents (smirking broadly) would quickly separate the two. But they certainly wouldn’t do George any harm. I don’t even think charges would be filed unless Obummer wanted to be a real dickhead.
But imagine Obummer out on the campaign trail sporting a fat lip! He could lie about it, or try to demonize George as a violent cowboy. But we’d all know how and why it happened and we would all approve!
Great, two guys who love spending everyone else’s money on pointless crap.
Screw them both and their dopey portraits.
Since you mention the Secret Service - that makes me wonder if the former president and first family would be warmly welcomed by a staff that was fond of them, creating an awkward situation because they may not be nearly as well treated by, nor as fond of the current White House occupants....
How one treats the staff/help says a great deal about the leader.
Don’t you just LOVE that photo. I soooo agree, whoever took that photo needs a fabulous award, perhaps many.
Dick Cheney is far and above, one terrific American. So proud to have voted for him. Wish HE could have been our president.
Perhaps Liz Cheney will dive into politics as rumored.
When does he ever say anything else?
They can compete with each other over who has created a bigger police state. Even Bush didn’t sign NDAA or open assassinations of Americans, at least I don’t think?
And, BO takes the cake for molestations and irradiation of Americans.
Warts and all, I most certainly do.
Much more fitting.
:-)
The very best thing that the ex-president could do would be to snub this event! Stay away George!
Next time Ozero goes for a physical, he will multitask and have his presidential portrait done at the same time they do his colonoscopy.
