Oddly enough, I’ll wager that Romney, if he is elected, will employ jihad against conservatives in the Republican Party.

That wouldn’t surprise me in the slightest.

I see it more like the way in which Stalin purged the CPSU. First, he turned against the Left (Trotsky) then the Right (Bukharin, et al) and ultimately consolidated his power completely.

You know, I was pondering that if Romney REALLY DID nominate Rice as his VP, it could be that his strategy would be to try to win without the GOP base.

Difficult? Extremely.

Impossible? Nothing is impossible.

If he pulled that off, he would demonstrate that the GOP no longer needs to its traditional base to achieve victory. A new electoral paradigm.

Oddly enough?

Why would he not, as that has been his MO for years.

His guys got in the McCain staff and did all they could to destroy Palin.

He spent 10's millions to destroy any candidates opposing him with the most vicious ads imaginable.

And that was just on the surface.

Behind the scenes his minions did even worse.

It's Romney's money that is buying him this shot at the highest office in the land.

That along with the GOP-e working with him.

Of course the reason that he is/was the dems and the MSM's candidate of choice as they could see that he couldn't beat Obama.

Those two groups along with Rove et al have doomed the GOP's chance of winning in November.

But they would rather have Obama in than a Conservative.

They all know that the only chance of getting Obama out is to run a strong conservative.

That idea was repulsive to them, and is what got their little panites in such a buncch.

De ja voux McCain "endorsing" Obama a few weeks before the election last cycle. "Nothing to fear from Obama" "Obama would make a good president"

I wonder how Mitt will pull it off for his GOP-e masters?
