Media silent as Obama tells fainting supporters to get help from 'paralegals'

On Friday evening, over 20 people collapsed at a campaign event for President Obama in Roanoke, Virginia, Joel Gehrke reported at the Washington Examiner.

According to CBS News White House correspondent Mark Knoller, Obama told supporters there were "paralegals" available to help those who felt weak from the heat.

"Catching his mistake," Knoller tweeted, Obama corrected himself and told the crowd, "you don't need lawyers."

"Yes, we do need lawyers to help US opt out of Ocare penalties-turned taxes (sic)," responded Sarah Nelson.

"Obama, meaning to say paramedics are available if anyone feels weak, says "paralegals" are around. Crowd laughs along with him," tweeted Roanoke Times Live.

Gehrke reported that in total, "21 people received medical treatment at the event and one person was taken to a local hospital, out of a crowd of 3,040. It was about 75 degrees in Roanoke this evening."

"We doubt the mainstream media will make a big deal. (Zero coverage, so far.) Hey, everyone makes mistakes, right? But can you imagine the uproar if Sarah Palin had made a gaffe like this?" a post at Twitchy asked.

"It’s a good thing his last name isn’t Bush," Jim Hoft wrote at the Gateway Pundit.

A Google search at the time of this writing found that the gaffe has gone unreported by the so-called "mainstream media," known here as the "Democrat-media complex."

Gaffes like this are nothing new for the man Newsweek once called the "god of all things."

"How's it going, Sunshine?" he once asked while campaigning in Sunrise, Florida before the 2008 election.

"In case you missed it, this week, there was a tragedy in Kansas. Ten thousand people died -- an entire town destroyed," he once said about a Kansas tornado that killed 12 people.

No problem.. There are paralegals in all 57 States! Obama isn’t who he says he is. When off the teleprompter, he’s totally clueless to American culture and our language.

The only private sector jobs Obama has created in the last 3 1/2 years are bankruptcy paralegals. I guess he thinks they can double up as paramedics.

I am still disgusted over the media treatment of Dan Quayle.

I am even angrier over the large number of Republicans who seemed to think is was an awful gaffe. He did absolutely nothing wrong. I know how to spell potato but if it was written down by school teachers as the correct spelling, I would just assume I was wrong which I suspect is what Quayle did.

Obama has made one huge gaffe after another and except for FR or maybe Rush it never gets even mentioned. Some of them, I would not use against Obama either because everyone every now and then mus-speaks but Obama just keeps on doing it and the media purposely ignore it.

“Take the names of two birds, the first 6-letters long & the second five lettets. Change the last-letter sound of the first word to an ‘L’ and then merge the terms; the result sounds like a person that Obama says you should consult when feeling ill.”

Indicate these words, and identify the bird-brain...

To be honest, the paralegal comment doesn’t digust me or upset me, especially since he caught it. I would have laughed too. The slip of tongue doesn’t make me angry.

But the issue here is the unfair treatment of the media. The fact that he isn’t being roasted for this when a conservative would be (yes, even under the same circumstances) is what makes me angry.

Hmmm... doing a search for "paralegal"

Nothing on Bing news about this

Nothing on Yahoo news about this

Google news has one story from a web site flagged with a red donut by WOT; ain't going there

Drudge has a link to this article at the top of the center column

Nada on ABC News, MSNBC NBC News, and CBS News

Mainstream media, tuned out as usual.

They lie, “conservative” fools buy.

And boy do they buy.

Millions and millions of $$ poured into the pockets of the Obamamedia MSM.

Gotta have that MSM fatburger, that MSM movie, that MSM tv show, that MSM ballgame.

Gotta have it.

Can’t live without it.
