“Regardless of who he picks, I WILL NOT VOTE FOR ROMNEY to be POTUS. “

So you then are voting to let Obama make two Supreme Court picks
Your choice.

There are 2 people who will be competing for the office this year.
We all have the choice of which one we will support.

There is no third option this year.

Ditto!

Also: If Obama wins a second term, 2016 will NOT matter!

“There are 2 people who will be competing for the office this year. We all have the choice of which one we will support. There is no third option this year.”

No, that is incorrect. The third choice is vote your priniciples ahead of your fears and vote third party or write in a candidate. I am doing exactly the same thing that the OWNER and FOUNDER of this forum is doing. It is time for you ABO loons to stop harassing REAL conservatives that won’t vote for pro-abortion, pro-homosexual, gun grabbing, big government statists like Obama and Romney. There is NO lesser of two evils. IF you vote for either, you are voting for evil.

Stop using Jim Robinson’s website as a place to denigrate persons of conservative principle that WILL NOT be forced into voting for a GOP Establishment candidate when better choices were, and still are, available. I WILL NOT be a syncopant to the GOPe anymore. They either reform, pick acceptable conservatives for the GOP nominee, or never get my vote again. BTW - I have voted for the GOP nominee for POTUS since Gerald Ford in 1976. I will not do so this time. Romney is more than I can stomach. IF you want to pick to dirtbag magic mormon....that is your foolish choice. Stop trying, on this forum, to push Romney. Stop trying to defend Romney. What follows is a recent direct quote from Jim Robinson to someone posting trash as you have:

“Give it a rest. No abortionists, no homosexualists, no gun grabbers, no mandate loving big government statists. If the GOP wants my vote, they can run a conservative. Until then, they can KMA!”

In case you don’t get the message. Your viewpoint is not welcome on this forum....that is...berating REAL conservatives that won’t support Romney anymore than we would Obama. So, to quote JF, “Give it a rest.”

Don’t tell Eternal Vigilance that there isn’t a 3rd party option — he’s running for president himself.

Do as you wish, stay pure. The rest of us will do the dirty work and fight to keep Obama out of office.

The damage done in the next 4 years will be irreversible.
Sitting out the election does nothing to prevent it.

The time to work for a more conservative candidate is for 2016.

There's a Conservative candidate right now. If people who "claim" to be Conservative will simply vote for the Conservative, Virgil Goode, then we won't have to wait will we?

Stop making excuses for backing a gun grabbing abortionist and vote for the Conservative instead. It's that easy.

HITH says: The rest of us will do the dirty work and fight to keep Obama out of office.

And the price? You will vote FOR putting in the most powerful office in America and making the most powerful Republican in America, a guy who is 100 percent behind the homosexual agenda, you will vote FOR a guy who is 100 percent behind the global warming agenda, you will vote FOR a guy who was the real author of ObamaCare, you will vote FOR a guy responsible for tax-funded on-demand abortions, and you will vote FOR a guy with a solid record of appointing liberal activist judges.

Before you start telling Sola Veritas and me to take the splinter out of our eyes, you had better tend to the PLANK in your own eye.

Neither Sola Veritas nor I plan on sitting out this election. And I, like you, HereInTheHeartland, know that there is nothing I can do to prevent either Obama or Romney from being the next president.

Capiche? If so, then STOP with the "sitting this one out" and "thinking you can stop Obama or Romney" lying garbage. They are both false charges you lay at our door.

On the other hand, when I charge YOU with voting for, and urging others to vote for, a full-blown documented statist who has a long and distinguished record of advancing government tyranny and ignoring conservative Republicans, it is a TRUE charge, though I know that you do not intend to vote FOR those things, you only intend to vote "against" Obama. The truth remains: you will be voting FOR an agent of government tyranny.

I will be voting third party not because I think the candidate I vote for will have any chance of winning, but because I know for a FACT that every third party vote, no matter who casts it and no matter their reason for casting it, will count toward REDUCING the popular mandate of whichever statist wins.

The last president who lacked a popular mandate, Bill Clinton, got creamed with the Republican Revolution and ended up facing impeachment proceedings becaue he was politically vulnerable -- both times he was elected, the majority of Americans voted for somebody else -- so don't for one minute think that lack of popular mandate, which we can accomplish with our third-party vote, wouldn't seriously hinder either Obama OR Romney in office.

Calm, calculating reason tells me that the ONLY way I can vote to help conservatism in this presidential election is to vote third party. Blind, abject FEAR tells you that you have to surrender the Republican party to liberalism.

ABO is an affliction grounded in pure hysteria and I hope you get over it before November. Romney would be a VERY BIG MISTAKE, and Obama is a fallible fake whom a Republican Congress could overcome if he was re-elected lacking a popular mandate.

kev, THAT was an excellent post. VERY WELL SAID.

I don't think enough FReepers have wrapped their mind around the fact that a lib [R] president with congressional support is worse than a Marxist [D] president who congress fights. The real battle the next 4 years will be for Senate and the House to keep whichever Socialist in Chief, in check.

I sure hope ABO Republicans move past their fear and wrap their mind around the truth you post above before November. Conservatives in the Senate and the House will have a lot easier time keeping in check the next Socialist in Chief if that SiC got in on a plurality where most Americans voted for somebody else. Lack of popular mandate made Clinton vulnerable enough that the Republican Revolution and impeachment happened.

The risk of losing conservative ground with a weak Obama is LESS than the risk of losing conservative ground with a "popular mandate" progressive Republican Romney. Obama is in big trouble with his support, and there's very little chance he could get a majority of the vote in 2012; on the other hand, there is real danger Romney could get a landslide, which would be the kiss of death for conservatism in the Republican party. The best way to vote is to vote "for" reducing the popular mandate of whichever of these clowns wins, and the way to vote "for" that is to vote third party.

It is very clear that this is true, but fear is temporarily blinding a lot of good patriots. I pray that their vision and minds clear before November.
