At least one state chapter of the Boy Scouts of America is not prepared to toe the line with the organizations national ban on LGBTs joining the scouts
The Vermont Chapter of the Boy Scouts of America has reaffirmed its non-discriminatory stance allowing LGBTs to be scouts and scout masters in the face of the national organizations continued refusal to allow LGBTs into the organization.

I would hope that BSA revokes the leadership positions bestowed to those in Vermont who are trying to hijack the Vermont BSA state organization.
Yes - does not seem right if the BSA organization has a national policy, and then VT just goes its own way. Disrespectful and teaches insubordination.
Vermont Chapter of what? Shut ‘em down, disband the troops and make them re-apply for their charter—conforming to the BSA standards.
Why don’t the gays start their own scouting organization? Come to think of it, why don’t they start their own chain of chicken restaurants as well, rather than trying to force their opinion on others.
Might as well set their own standards for what an Eagle Scout is, and give out merit badges for whatever else they choose too.
Though unpalatable to the unfettered will of moderns, male attractions toward other males are not genetically, environmentally, nor evolutionarily determined anymore than are adultery, cheating on tests, hatred, and status-seeking.
All of these are emotions, appetites, and other such compulsions and impulses.
Anyone who rationalizes the normalization and social and legal acceptance of emotions, appetites, etc., is attempting to force his/her dishonesty, selfishness, and disordered passions onto other people.
Gays can already be Scouts. One of my Scouts says he is gay.
Saying it doesn’t make it true though.
Would you let your young boy stay overnight in the company of a declared male homosexual? I hope not. Any person who would take such a chance with his or her child is unfit to be a parent. If the Vemont disease spreads, this is the end of the Boy Scouts. Given the Scouts tradition of love of God and country and thir creed of self-realiance, this may be the liberals’ real objective.
The article doesn't explain how the Green Mountain Council pulled off that stunt. They created a policy that allows gay scouts and leaders without going against the national BSA's policy that bans gay scouts and leaders?
That ought to put a damper on the annual Bromley Ski Weekend.
Good point! I think every sick, sicko should just found their own, and build from there!
We all know, you cannot build on dung, it just does not make a good foundation!
“If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?” (Psalm 11:3)
Someone should hold them responsible when a homosexual, like Jerry Sandusky, molests a boy.
Left UVM in 1973. Returned in 2008. A genuine tragedy and nightmare experience. Never returning, at home in the SOUTH with God surrounded by believers.
Advice to Vermonters, run like everyone has for centuries from your Green Mountain retreats..
Its simple...remove their charter.
Why do Commie Libtards always have to attempt to ruin one of America’s Longest-Lasting Historical Institutions (BSA), can’t they just form their own BFA club, skip around singing and pack their own fudge?

gays start their own scouting organization it would be full of sexual abuse of minors so rampant that it wouldn’t survive a year. And the head gays will be responsible for the massive payout to the parents from all of the lawsuits.
Force the BSA to let them in and they can still have all the access to the boys, but the straight heads will be the ones getting hit with the lawsuits if one of the gay pervs screws up and gets caught.
Names names names.....then, when the lawsuits start coming from the boys who get molested, the lawyers know where to look for the money.
