I remember 1994, when both Indiana senators (who were both Republicans) supported the ban on so-called "assault weapons." This time around, there seems to be a lot less support across the whole political spectrum.

I remember watching the proceedings on c-span back then and I was nearly physically sick when the useless waste of time passed. And now we have the push on again. Thankfully with the internet and twitter and texting the word gets passed around a whole lot quicker so we can react in almost real time. Every Monday I go to the Ruger site and re-email their link in support of the 2nd amendment. I don’t really care if the pols get tired of it. They’ll keep getting them until this insanity comes to a screeching halt. No registration/background checks beyond what is already there. NONE! Leave my rights alone and I’ll leave you alone. Too many of the idiots in congress still do not understand that the BOR does NOT grant us anything. It is supposed to protect our rights. They need some schoolin’.

” but has not decided whether he would support universal background checks.”

That is what they are really after...this time.

RE :”A Donnelly spokesman told The Associated Press Wednesday that the Indiana lawmaker will vote against the ban but has not decided whether he would support universal background checks.
Donnelly represents a key bloc of moderate to conservative Democrats the president must win over. The announcement also marks a key early stance from Donnelly just a few months after winning a state that went heavily for Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney in last year's election

Senate Rats putting survival over their lib ‘principles’ ping!

Over at Morning Joe: Joe , Mika and Lawrence OD on his show they spent their time PERSONALLY attacking that 2nd amendment babe Gayle Trotter who testified to Senate committee about women who used guns to defend themselves,

Still waiting for them (MSNBC) to turn on their fellow cowardly Rats in the Senate who are putting survival over ‘principle’ by not supporting Feinstein's critical bill to save children's lives :)

Want to play with Dems heads?? : then call Donnelly's office as an angry Dem and call him a coward for jumping ship, LOL

I hate Donnelly with a passion, but I have no doubt in my mind that Dick Lugar would have been happy to help out his “good friend across the aisle” in her zealous quest to ban guns.

IIRC he was willing and ready to get on board the UN handgun treaty.

Dick could very well have put one of these gun laws over the top.

Goodbye and good riddance to the old RINO
