It wasn’t just the “popular press” pushing the idea of an impending ice age. I walked in on the end of a science class at my college where the prof was pushing the idea in 1970. They were blaming industrialization then, as well.
Yes I remember very well in the late ‘70’s. Climate scientist at that time thought increased industrial SO2 and TSP would lead to solar defection and a new ice age. They were wrong then, and they are wrong now. Vulcanism and Sun Cycles control it all. Not man.
To the democrats/socialists in the media and government it is always the fault of industry/capitalism/freedom. That idiots don't see what they are doing is beyond me.
the government provided trillion$ in grants to fund a hoax called global warming. This alone proves government/socialism doesn't work.
so they tried global cooling for a generation blame that on capitalism
then the next generation scare the population with global warming hoax. blame that on capitalism( big oil, coal, suvs). put guilt on Americans , terrorize them , tell them they and their capitalism is destroying the planet with global warming, that the ice caps are melting . and the sheep believe the lies. so they cry “we ought to do something” . then the media and government do something to take away our rights and freedoms, they ban bulbs etc. so now the earth is cooling so they change the name of global warming to “climate change” so now any change is blamed on capitalism .
