What is the cost of living in Puerto Rico? It seems to me, that since 1/3 of the people are on food stamps, that the cost of living must be quite a bit lower there than here, and therefore, one isn’t necessarily living in poverty to reach the income level to receive the benefits.

It’s pretty high, and electricity is 4 times the cost of stateside, which affects everything
