Benghazi and Obama's Ambition to Be U.N. SecGen
The American Thinker ^ | 05/25/13 | James Lewis

Posted on 05/25/2013 11:30:20 AM PDT by oxcart

Washington rumor has it that Obama wants to be U.N. Secretary General.

There are several reasons that make that likely, and if it's true, it throws new light on a lot of Obama's oddities -- including his Royalty Bows, his Apology Tours, his Muslim Sellout, and the Benghazi Cover-Up.

But first -- why would Obama be planning to become the chief of the U.N. before he has even finished his second term?

1. Obama's unbounded ego.

In three and a half years, Obama will be out of a job. He is 50 now and wants to soar to greater heights, because that's what matters more than anything else in his life.

What's better to Obama's Napoleonic self than being U.N. Sec Gen? He is a man who wants to be worshiped by the world, and the path to that goal is clear. It is also an opportunity to carry out his internationalist and pro-Muslim convictions.

Member nations of the UN Security Council are specifically precluded from being Secretary General, but rules don’t apply to the Kenyan.

This stupid crap went around with Bill Clinton. Being the American President is a much greater honor than a petty UN token.

There’s too much work in being President, even as little as Obama does.

Can you even imagine what he would try to turn the UN into if he had a pliable successor to the Presidency.

I don't think he will actually relinquish the Oval Office in 3 and 1/2 years...at least, not without an attempted coup.

And like everything Obama does, if a coup attempt is tried he will simply say he was unaware of it until he read about it in the press.

Obama thinks the opposite. He thinks the UN is the government of the planet.

In three and a half years, Obama will be out of a job. He is 50 now and wants to soar to greater heights, because that's what matters more than anything else in his life.

TRANSLATION: zero is emotionally about 5 and between wanting to be a fireman or a policeman, he wants to be POTUS, or a golf pro or UN SecGen!

Frankly, I want him to be unemployed. But, IIRC, Clinton also wanted to be UN SecGen and thought he was a shoo-in for the position. That was before most of the nations in the UN discovered what a creep he is!

Then we have zero (unfortunately). He may want to be SecGen or emperor of the world, but I don't see it happening. Most nations already see zero as weak, clueless and without any guiding principles. And, they know that the world has become more dangerous since we were dumb enough to elect and then re-elect this guy. They don't want him any more than we do.

There is a really good way to tell a president's influence in the world and that is by the number of world leaders who seek either his advice or influence. Notice how few world leaders bother with zero? Again, they recognize that he is weak and politically clueless. And, they don't need to come here to get input from weak, politically clueless people, they can get that at home!

You have a point. Think of all the worlds golf courses, young boy interns, and booze he could sample without doing any work at all!

Washington rumor has it that Obama wants to be U.N. Secretary General.

Those rumors were always rampant around Bill Clinton, too. I find it hard to imagine that the UN General Assembly which is largely controlled by an Islamic majority, would consider electing an American—even one who might be a closet Muslim. But who knows?

If we're lucky they'll pick him before the end of this term and he'll have to resign.
