The only reason these “dictators” are going after those offshore accounts is so they can their grubby hands on it. It’s not about budget shortages or fairness. It’s about seizing something they hink theyre entitled to because they say so and finding a way to funnel it into their own pocket. That’s how arrogant sociopathic narcissists think.
The irony is that this is the same person(Putin) that gave Depardieu Russian citizenship by executive order - not long after Depardieu gave up French citizenship for tax reasons.
It’s the same thing obama did about the secret Swiss bank accounts and then used the information to blackmail the holders of those accounts into compliance. (my opinion)
