Lamar Alexander and Bob Corker: House urged to pass immigration bill
Knoxville News Sentinel ^ | July 11, 2013 | alexander and corker

Posted on 07/11/2013 7:49:19 AM PDT by deoetdoctrinae

No Republican should vote for legislation that perpetuates amnesty for more than 11 million people illegally in our country, leaves our southern border open for even more illegal immigration and stifles economic growth.

That is why we were two of the 68 senators who voted for the immigration bill that takes the most dramatic steps in history to secure our border, end perpetual amnesty and encourage job creation.

"No Republican should vote for legislation that perpetuates amnesty for more than 11 million people illegally in our country"

When this issue came up during the Bush years it was always "20-30" million illegals but now it's "11 million"? Did 10 million illegals leave the country?

Why is it that the government is in such a hurry to sell out the people and work against the will of their bosses? It is almost like they are getting paid or blackmailed to do wrong?

What the hell do they care? It won’t be their wages that are depressed and communities destroyed by amnesty.

They’ve got their millions and mansions in gated communities and could care less about the middle class.

This should be called what it is. A war on the middle class by the elitists on both sides of the aisle.

This whole issue could be turned into a populist appeal to middle class workers from all walks of life including legal immigrants already here.

Try working in the trades and competing with “Juan” the illegal working out of his car trunk and a bureaucracy that’s “hands off” because they don’t want to appear racist by doing anything about it.

Fools like this are destroying any redeeming value to citizenship in this country while bending over backwards to appease a horde of illegal invaders.

Those 11 million (25 million) entered my country illegally on their own accord and commenced to take my treasure, my culture, my way of life and I want them rounded up and shipped out. Then I want all abetting politicians to be removed from office by the scruffs of their necks if necessary.

“Dramatic steps to secure our border”

Uh, no, senaturds.... it’s a “promise” to secure the border. Many of us remember the broken promises of 1986 and 2006. Not all of us are shit-for-brains lo-fos.

They don’t need to pass a bill in order to get a fence built AND a “path to citizenship” (ok, amnesty)

They already passed a law AND allocated a billion dollars to build a fence. Where did that money go?

Why should we believe they will do what the new law says about building a fence when they didnt follow the old law?

But we KNOW they will do the amnesty part... they’ve done this bait-and-switch tactic before

All I needed to know about the establishment's attitude toward illegal immigration, I learned in Tennessee when I was trying to get a U.S. driver's license while living in Japan.

The DMV was full of Hondurans who were probably here illegally and had nothing but a passport. They got a Spanish interpreter who came to them, gave them the kid glove treatment and sent them all away with driver's licenses.

I had a U.S. Passport for identification, an international driving permit and a valid Japanese driver's license which, of course, they couldn't read. I waited my turn to be called to the window and was sent away without a license because they wanted a valid social security card.

Clear evidence of stricter requirements from citizens than (probably) illegal aliens.

Unfortunately, until we remove these "representatives" from Washington, this is how we will continue to be treated.

They KNOW that these laws are already on the books and they KNOW that they are being ignored. Yet they do nothing to correct THAT situation.

Hey, Corker and Alexander-— we have significant immigration laws since WWII that can be enforced and there won’t be any amnesty... period.

So, why don’t you say why you printed this crap— that both of you, and your cronies are promised the sale of the TVA by the obamaumao govt, and dems whose bailiwick is the TVA, and major kickbacks and political money machine created for generations. You lying sacks. Knoxville people know this, just like they know it all devolves from Oakridge and the creation of TVA to make uranium and other bomb materials.

The article about TVA sale proposed.

http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2013/04/16/republicans-blast-obama-proposal-to-sell-tennessee-valley-authority/

This is the “cover” alexander and corker have put out. The sale of TVA to private was always felt to be a repub idea. Now proposed by a dem obamaumau? “righteously denied” by repub Senators all the while they maneuver to do just that in exchange for favors granted in many areas— in exchange for their votes for the “reform in immigration”. Nice work, boys.

They are avoiding doing their jobs. Rather than enforce the immigration laws on the books they want to change the laws to make the illegal immigrants legal and thus avoid having to do their jobs.
