I guess to Obama, international norms includes killing millions and millions of unborn souls in the womb, or buggering some other same-sex person up the keester, and molesting, raping and killing children along with a black free-for-all open season on whitey, for “Trayvon” of course.

Cruz is more than right. Amorphous is a perfect descriptor for our boy president. The grown ups left the White House on January 21, 2009.

I think it’s still an open question as to whether Assad or his agents acting explicitly on his behalf actually ordered the gas attacks. But, no matter who lauched the gas attacks, the bottom line is that there is no imminent threat to US security, and armed US intervention would almost certainly make things worse. And if it is just about certain that US intervention would increase tensions and could lead to a wider war, why would we accept the US government’s narrative on the gas attacks in the first place.
The argument, that the US must enforce some sort of international norm by lobbing a few missiles on Syria, as exposed by Cruz, is delusional. The US government has some other deeper and I’m afraid more nefarious motive, which probably is the old strategy of starting a war when domestic events are not going well (0-care, scandals).
