Obamacare Enrollees Become Urban Legend

Will the Floridians who have enrolled for Obamacare please stand up?

Nearly two weeks after the federal government launched the online Health Insurance Marketplace at healthcare.gov, individuals who have successfully used the choked-up website to enroll for a subsidized health insurance plan have reached a status akin to urban legend: Everyone has heard of them, but very few people have actually met one.

The Miami Herald searched high and low for individuals who completed enrollment for a subsidized health plan through the marketplace.

As of Friday, however, only a smattering of success stories had emerged in news reports.

After you manually type answers to 20 pages of personal questions it crashes and gives the page:

Sorry, this system is temporarily out of service. Please try again later. Thank you for visiting the Affordable Health Care Act site’

It was meant to be a train wreck. You see, the “only solution” is for government to completely take over the nation’s health care system. Then we we’ll be like Cuba, Canada and Great Britain.

The “glitch” is doing it’s job. Easy for the media to keep a handful of obamacare witnesses quite. Millions would have been much harder.

Sounds like the behavior of a phishing site; troll for personal info, then ... nothing.

I don’t know anyone who has signed up. I haven’t even heard of anyone, no friend of a friend’s roommate’s cousin even. I know several people who like me went and looked out of morbid fascination - and we were all shocked at the high costs and poor coverage. Even my most liberal friends, friends who think obama is doing a good job and who are self employed, who were in favour of obamacare, waiting for it..??? Yeah...No, they have decided not to sign up for it.

Save yourself from the headache and heartache. Pay the penalty. The fewer that sign up, the better the chance this monstrosity will crash under its own weight.

So the scenario is:

1. Mandate health coverage, or pay a penalty
2. Make website impossible to sign up for health coverage, thus....
3. Force people to pay a penalty.

Obamacare penalizes the poor and unemployed by foisting a tax on those who can least afford it.

How you like them apples? Now, if we could get the media to run with it.

As long as you adjust your withholding so that there’s no money left for a refund, the IRS has no way to collect the penalty.

Certainly what I was thinking as well.
What better way of gathering info on a bunch of rubes.

There’s been more sightings of the Higgs-Boson particle than successful Obamacare signups.

Fake but accurate.

A lie really isn’t a lie if it is for a good cause.

Who are you going to believe? Obama or your lying ears/lying eyes?

Your premium isn’t really increasing — you just were not paying enough previously.

The Obamacare website works; you just don’t know how to use it. You need to make an appointment with an official navigator who knows how to operate the website.

It is because of the government shutdown — blame it on the Republicans.

And the First Dictator has by decree waived the right to verify the incomes that people state in order to get a subsidy. How many applicants are going to tell the truth when there is a subsidy available for telling a lie?

Something that is important for conservatives to know now, is that, when socialists have a horrible, disastrous execution of one of their schemes, invariably, they have only three defenses:

1) Deny that there is any problem, and attack those who say there is.

2) Claim that any problems are caused solely by a lack of resources and funding, and that by doubling, tripling, etc., everything will work fine.

3) Double down, by insisting that it must be “universal” to work. That competition must be forbidden, and that no one (except for their close friends) can be exempted, and that harsh penalties must exist for “evasion”.

4) Claim sabotage.

This last one is the one that conservatives should be most concerned with. Obama, his sycophants, cronies, lickspittles, henchmen and toadies, will all proclaim that the failure of Obamacare is the fault of the Republicans, especially the Tea Party conservatives.

They may go full conspiracy theory mode, and may even demand arrests and prosecutions by Holder, of Republican “saboteurs”. If they can, they might even hold show trials and conduct witch hunts.

So the bottom line is, if they even send up a trial balloon for sabotage, that it must be shot down as soon as possible, and whoever suggested it laughed off the stage.

With this site servicing the insurance needs of 36 states with a 90-day window how could any rational person think that the demand on it wouldn’t be massive?

This isn’t a case of a train wreck it is a case of a unmanned runaway train. The wreck is yet to come.

My only questions are: First, how much damage and destruction will this “train” cause between now and April 1st 2014? One heck of an April’s Fools Joke on us. And second, how much damage and destruction will it cause after April 1st 2014? the pieces have to come to rest somewhere.
