I’m wondering about that too. Might a release of methane, hydrogen sulfide, SO2, or even hot water at depth cause their eventual death either directly, or by driving them to shallower water and away from their food source?
How about the earthquake lights phenomenon. If the fish are right over and close to the fault line when the high energy piezoelectric charge goes off it may give them more than a headache.
