In an attorney generals race that remains too close to call, Republican Mark D. Obenshain began today with a 17-vote edge over Democrat Mark R. Herring.
But by afternoon, the pendulum had swung the other way when the numbers in four Richmond precincts were updated, putting Herring ahead by 115 votes out of more than 2 million cast statewide.

Sounds fishy — again.
“Not to whine but I feel so beaten, losing hope here.”
Yeah... me too.
Same. It seems like ever since 2010 it’s been one defeat after another, except for the pleasant surprise of the Colorado recalls.
Even Christie’s landslide victory in deep blue NJ rings hollow because he’s a fatass RINO.
The Dems never lose a close election.
On some level I want the Dems to turn Va into another Illinois. Serve the stupid voters right.

If RNC Republipussies do not fight why should we?
I wonder to what extent the GOPe is pulling for the Rats and actually helping them "win."
It is close, sometimes. My district almost went “R” in the last election due to our rep’s relations (wife) being involved (imprisoned for) in an illegal offshore gambling operation. I went to bed thinking that we finally got rid of that crook...the rest of the story writes itself.
Check out the latest Project Veritas video and how Obamacare is a Trojan horse to fund the Democrat activists planning on making Texas a blue state.
They are relentless and will stop at nothing. Unfortunately, McDonnell’s corruption seems to have really neutered the GOP in VA, and they don’t appear to be doing anything about it.
(Reminder: The legal (illegal!) constraint against the GOP fighting equally with the Dems to defend the ballot box is another reason that the Tea Party should replace the GOP.)
Yes! And none were absentee so not questionable.
Thanks for the update.
The article was written early Tuesday morning. It was not clear to me if/when these votes were added to the statewide totals.
Are the “hanging chads” created in those sweatshops?
I still haven’t seen new numbers posted, any idea why?
Appreciate the help.
I think the official results are supposed to be done by midnight tonight.
I think they’ve included new numbers because they’ve changed but Herring is still 106 votes ahead. ;-(
The most major recount discrepancies happened in (naturally) the most Democratic county in the state, Fairfax, the corrupt district represented by the corrupt representative, Gerry “Corruptolly” Connolly.
The day after the election, when the preliminary results were announced, Fairfax suddenly declared they were “2000 votes short.” At that point, pretty much everyone with a brain understood what was going on and that the Democrats would be manufacturing votes till they gained the lead.
This is particularly bad, because the most corrupt individual elected to any statewide office in my memory - Terry McAwful - will now have his man installed as the state AG. The parents are on vacation and it’s party time for the brat teenagers, and all you can hope is they don’t burn the house down. Like Obama and Holder, it’s open season, and the citizens are their target.
Good job, Virginia. Just change your state flag now to read “Sic Submittum Tyrannis” and show Liberty licking the feet of the crowned despot.
