Yup I just got up from a humdinger of a Thanksgiving dinner. Turkey all the extras.... and a brother and his wife, both liberal, who could not for the life of them keep civil.... I told them I would not talk politics if they would refrain from the same....What do I know I’m just an ex navy enlisted dweeb (with a masters degree) and he is a grand and glorious political hack (government worker who graduated high school). It took them 15 minutes to turn the conversation to their Idol Obummer... it took me 3 minutes to evict them from my house (Hope they enjoy their long drive back to Florida). They will never set foot inside my home again. It almost destroyed dinner, but the rest of my guests and family think I did right.

Hope that each "useful idiot" who tried the Obama propaganda effort at their family's dinner table were told about the thousands of Stage IV Cancer patients whose Thanksgiving celebrations were destroyed by the Democrats' deliberate and intentional actions which canceled the insurance reimbursements which, when paid to their own chosen physicians, had been keeping them alive!

Shouting match here too. My aunts are leftists. They are both on Medicare, and have been oblivious to what has been happening to us active middle classers. Like talking to the wall. They want single payer because it will be Medicare for everyone. I tried telling them Medicare is paying an unsustainable 12 cents per billed dollar, but the point died in the noise of the fight. It will only be worse once everyone is “all in,” as they put it. Their reference point is their own situation, plus magical thinking about what’s happening to others. The good news is they are not the dominant view in my extended family. The others are coming around, albeit temporarily shielded by their employer based packages.
