Phil Robertson blew off liberal journalist Barbara Walters to go duck hunting.

CNS News reported:

Many celebrities look forward to a Barbara Walters interview. Not so with Duck Dynasty star Phil Robertson. He skipped the interview to go duck hunting.

Radar Online is reporting that Robertson bailed on Walter’s ‘Most Fascinating People’ interview last month for the ABC network.

Walters talked with other members of the Robertson family, and Phil’s wife, Miss Kay, reportedly told her that the 67-year old founder of Duck Commander would rather shoot ducks than do the interview.

A little off-topic ..... I watched the DD Christmas show the other night. I almost fell off my chair laughing at Si as he insisted it was NOT frankincense, but Franken Scent. Per Si, “Franken” is a prefix, don’t you know ... as in Frankenstein, frankenbeans .... so of course, it HAS to be Franken scent. Still makes me laugh, just think about it ... the three wise men, especially the one with Franken Scent, will never be the same. :-)

This was likely orchestrated by son Willie, who is supposedly the “brains” behind the operation. No doubt he sees it as another avenue of exposure for the product and the DD brand; although folks who watch Baba Wawa are not likely to purchase duck calls (or other DD products).

Willie’s gonna get too clever by half, if he’s not careful, and bring everything to a premature end.

I hear ya. But then again, they probably have it all scripted out, regardless how long the show lasts and people buy Duck Commander calls they'll never use; Willie's not the only smart one in the bunch. And why the fatalism? However long it lasts, it's been a sweet ride for them already.

I have no doubt Phil Robertson likes and respects Sarah Paliln but I’d bet that if he really had to make a choice between duck hunting and meeting even Sarah - you’d find him in a duck blind with a .20 gague in his hand.

I'd think a .12 gauge would be better, but I'm not a duck hunter. Here in the MO Ozarks we do have the best turkey hunting in the country. If a flock of ducks coming in is anything like the excitement of a ole Tom strutting into view, I don't blame Phil 1 bit.
