maybe the EU will back off, if now Israel can sell to its friends like India.

Not so. I was on a gator freighter in the med during the Yom Kippur War. And I can tell you we were ready to rock. Well as ready to rock as a gator freighter can get. Some years later I was again in the med on a real war ship. I felt far safer then.
