Newsbusters ^

On his Twitter page, Maher cracked “wise” on Saturday, comparing unpaid college basketball players to slaves in the American colonies:

March Madness really is a stirring reminder of what America was founded on: making tons of money off the labor of unpaid black people — Bill Maher (@billmaher) March 22, 2014

Thats right. Having a sports scholarship that pays their tuition is not pay to libs. And I'm sure none of the players pay so much as a penny for room and board, either.

Forty or fifty years ago we placed our mentally ill in institutions, now we give them talk shows.

when most college b-ball and football players were white, why did liberals not complain about it being slavery?

Hey Maher!

I do not GAS about what our forebears did to survive or what colleges do with inner-city kids and their favorite sports.

I pay no attention to TV, nor to you.

Of course people on the left do not seem to know the difference between voluntary and involuntary servitude. ..

Maher being paid attention to by Newsbusters again. They ought to bury him in a grave of irrelevance instead.

Meanwhile if they were paid millions to play, Maher would call it obscene and wonder why the schools don’t use that money to help underprivileged black kids get full scholarships.

Not to defend this idiot, but do slaves pay for room and board, ever?

no doubt...he’s gotta be the most miserable person ive ever seen. That show of his...if they would stop for a minute and just really listen to themselves. The one hour “lets blame everything on America” show. Its really become a caricature of liberalism.. just weird.

Heck, they don’t even have to pay the other students who do all their school work for them. The school ‘helpers’ pay for all of that.
