Republican Sens. Rand Paul and Dean Heller on Thursday both denounced as offensive and racist Nevada rancher Cliven Bundys recent comments about African-Americans.
His remarks on race are offensive and I wholeheartedly disagree with him, Paul said in a statement, according to Business Insider.

Someone here referred to that as the “magic word” that makes GOP politicians spin in circles and wet themselves.
If I remember correctly - the term Negro is on zero’s fake birth certificate - is it not? I understand what Clive was trying to say, even though it came out wrong. The blacks have traded one plantation for another.
Just so you know, you are posting to a person that spams threads with his love of Paul in the face of Paul’s liberalism. Nothing you say that is factual matters to him/her.
No it won’t. Midterm elections favor conservatives who won’t be tricked into voting one issue and know this is all fodder. And it won’t gin up the left’s base...in midterms nothing ever does.
The GOPe will defeat themselves in the midterms by being Dem-lite and pushing amnesty.
Between his comments on RR and his Amnesty/calls for moderation, I really want someone to tell me why anyone who claims to be conservative would embarrass themselves in public supporting or defending him. Paid shills or Paulbots still clinging bitterly to the memory of Sainted Ron perhaps but that’s it.
Precisely! The boss has made that same point time and time again but some FReepers are brazenly refusing to get on board. Here's just one quote, among many more:
The race card wins every battle now. And it will be played until all battles are over.
The End.
Par for the course. They to this day ignore him over the PDS crap as well and still push that brand of liberalism as well.
That’s what libs do. Go into someones home, ignore the rules of the house and make their own.
Now you want to sell us Ron Paul, to go along with your Rand Paul obsession?
true, but the issue is NOT BUNDY it’s the BLM and the govt. Bundy cannot tax anyone, jail anyone regulate anyone .Gov can and does,
We still have the United Negro College Fund.
In the mean time..Y'all have a great week end
i think everyone is ignoring the fact (if it is a fact, i haven’t actually heard the Bundy remarks for myself) that he mentioned about blacks being better off slaves. That is distasteful and yes, racist. Whether or not the assistance these folkes get from federal and state governments in its many forms actually destroys their lives and families (yes, of course it does, as it does with anyone) is another story. Bundy may be a racist, but he isn’t a bigot. BUT, as many have stated, this is a side issue that needs to be laid to rest and avoided. The issue here is not one man (at least, not Bundy; the same cannot be said of Obama, he is a big problem), it’s the government and how they are misusing/abusing the power of governance.
As for Paul, his comments are within reason. There’s no way anyone should actually support Bundy’s comments. It’s only going to bring a spotlight for more liberal attacks meant to destroy one’s credibility. It’s time we conservatives say enough and play eye for eye.
Krauthammer is an ivy league snob. :-)
But to the point Paul has now put himself in the company of Sean Hannity and Glenn Beck. They jump to condemn the guy before they even checked into what was true and what was rhetoric.
I also am disappointed. Especially now that a black militia member has come out and said he would take a bullet for Mr. Bundy and views him like a grandfather. Reverend Manning has also defended Mr. Bumdy.
Then he launched into another diatribe against Mr. Bundy's remarks, using all the nasty buzz words employed by Harry Reid and other fascist thugs opening their big yaps right now about the "racist" rancher. Hannity is doubling-down hard on Mr. Bundy, folks....besides mounting an enormous ego trip PR ploy about how GREAT he is on property rights.
Hannity, you can go to blazes. I won't watch your TV show any more, or patronize your sponsors.
Plus, please don't move to Florida when your contract with Fox expires and you ditch New York.
I stand with Clive Bundy and the ranchers!

Not questionable, it’s happening
Drugs legal and amnesty and child rapists will soon join in
Still we have tyranny, but libertarians will be happy
Amnesty is a constitutional issue, well defined and the public i to be blamed for tolerating the Feds not carrying out the duties of their office.
As for the age of consent laws, I prefer to leave that to the parents, local community, churches. Down in Florida, a child removed from the parent for physical or sexual abuse will be physically and/or sexually abused more while in state custody.
Yup, Florida taxpayers are being billed so that children can be beaten or raped.
FloriDUH seems not to quite describe it.
Legalizing drugs would allow defunding Drug War ‘warriors’, and a major reduction in legal and prison staff.
Anything putting the above mentioned classes back on the job market I am in favor of.
Wow
Very sad
