Deadspin has posted a longer version of the Donald Sterling tape. It includes lots more racism.
Late Friday, TMZ released its nine-minute recording of a man alleged to be Clippers owner Donald Sterling making racist comments to his girlfriend about her being seen with black people. Deadspin has acquired and posted a longer recording of that same conversation -- a 15-minute tour through the mind of a horribly racist NBA team owner.
Deadspin has also included a transcript that's well worth digesting. It's all so bad that finding the worst bit is difficult. But this is a primary candidate, at least as it relates to the NBA:
[Girlfriend]: Do you know that you have a whole team that's black, that plays for you?
[Sterling]: You just, do I know? I support them and give them food, and clothes, and cars, and houses. Who gives it to them? Does someone else give it to them? Do I know that I have-Who makes the game? Do I make the game, or do they make the game? Is there 30 owners, that created the league?

The discussion between Sterling and his girlfriend also turns international, and Sterling defends his treatment of minorities based on how black Jews are treated in Israel. (Sterling is Jewish.) The Holocaust is also discussed, as well as whether Matt Kemp is light-skinned enough to appear on the girlfriend's Instagram account.
NBA commissioner Adam Silver promised a speedy investigation on Saturday. The existence of a second tape from a second source might speed that up.
That is hilarious, and the perfect response to the idiotic racist rant.

I have to admit that I don't have TeeVee to tell me what to think, so I have an edge on you there.
Some sleazy rich dude who employs "pretend slaves" who make more in one child's game than most people make in a year is duking it own with some slut who loved him for his big hard thick fat black wallet holds no interest for me.
I'm curious about why you're so concerned about a child's game. Don't we have bigger fish to fry here at Free Republic? Like, a couple of hundred Fedthugs with automatic weapons killing a peasant's cattle and threatening to shoot protestors...

Players, black players and their sympathizers in the league may not necessarily go on strike, but use the same tactics that members of police unions exercise when lots of members have the Blue Flu.
Five of six star players on each team would claim to be sick and not play in a game. National network games with no star players would be a big revenue hit for the networks and the networks would push Sterling out.

This guy has a long history of racist behavior and yet in May he was going to receive a lifetime achievement award from the LA branch of the NAACP. It makes me suspect he has been paying them to stay off his back for a while.

Clipper players talk a lot of talk, but if they were sincere in their beliefs that what Sterling said was bad they would give back the millions of dollars they make for putting a ball in a hoop, something tells me they wont
They earned the money, they have done nothing wrong, why should they give anything back? If you found out that your employer were a rapist would you give back your paycheck?

There are Ethiopian Jews both inside Israel and still in Ethiopia. Their community has been Jewish for a couple thousand years. They didn't have to convert.
if players don’t want to play for him that is their business, there are what, 30 other NBA teams to choose from..no one is putting a gun to these players heads forcing them to play for the Clippers
If a player is drafted by a team they are NOT free to choose another team in the NBA for the duration of their rookie contract.
Why do you suppose the NBA refuses to do anything about Jay-Z’s out-and-out racism?
