Even if Neanderthals had larger brains than we do I think we are smarter. And then there is the fact that men have larger brains than women, but I really don’t think men are smarter than women...they are often times more driven and obsessive, but not smarter.

You should have read what I said completely. What he said was that the size of the head in respect to the size of the rest of the body.

I think all kind of experts now disagree with the guy who wrote the Britannica article even tho it has been proven over and over. The reason is political correctness. Blacks have smaller brains and typically score from 10-15 points lower on IQ tests. It is one of those odd areas in which all the facts say one thing and all the experts, just the opposite.

I will say back in the old days, I had a fairly well known Biology professor, Dr. Fanny Fern Davis, who began teaching after she retired. She also told the class that brain size was correlated to intelligence.

My experience, as a neanderthal with a large head and a large brain, has been that women can be extremely smart, but their intelligence is hindered by the female prerogative that demands they produce babies. In other words, even the smartest woman is dumb when her intelligence goes against her productive instincts. To be even more specific, women begin from a conclusion, and all their intelligence, however high it may be, attempts to justify the conclusion, wrong or right. Men begin with facts and logic, and later arrive at a conclusion. I'll leave it as an exercise for the reader which approach gives more accurate results, and by that, I mean, if you can't figure it out, you're probably a woman.

I've had the pleasure/pain of interacting with some extremely intelligent women, only to be horrified by the circuitous routes that the inteligent female brain will take to justify a faulty premise. To put it bluntly, the only difference between a stupid female and an incredibly intelligent female is the amount of IQ and time it takes to convince the female of unbending reality in the face of female desire. Thusly, I have concluded that female intelligence is a hindrance to human progression, rather than a benefit.

There's evidence that Europeans have Neanderthal genes. Sub-Saharan Africans do not have any Neanderthal genes.

my understanding is that what is more important for intelligence is not the size of the brain, per se, but the number of folds on the surface.

men and women are driven by and obsessive about different things. the thought processes for the two genders are entirely different. both genders, however, are capable of deeply-flawed, self-destructive behavior. one of the huge problems in the culture right now is that we’re looking at male behavioral flaws and congratulating ourselves that women don’t display them. the larger, and more appropriate, question is what behavioral flaws are innate to the female gender.
