The tobacco merchants on the reservations pay a limited tax on the tobacco THEY purchase for sales to members of their tribes.
Now YOU on he other hand, if you wish to purchase bulk cartons from these reservations via the internet, they will sell them to you but what they WON'T tell you is that whatever state you are purchasing from has the legal authority to obtain their sales records of all tobacco products shipped to buyers like you within their states then come after you for the unpaid tobacco within your state...............
Oh they didn't have to tell me. I saw how one operation rolled over and gave up sales records to the NY AG. Don't remember if it was a tribe or just an out of state vendor, but I quickly moved to roll your own after just a couple of carton purchases. Suited me well enough. I was saving even more making my own.
