It definitely fits his profile. Wouldn't surprise me one bit if the U.S. government supplied the rebels this missile with faulty intelligence that there would be a Russian plane flying over at such and such time. A nice distraction for him from his border fiasco. I swear this damn game is getting old.The media is going out of their way to pin it on Russia, that in and of itself makes me question the whole thing.

I don’t think so.

The rebels, or whatever they are, were all excited and bragged that they had shot down a Ukraine cargo plane.

When they found out they had shot down an airliner, they immediately withdrew all of their bragging comments, or at least that is what I have read.

If what I have read is correct, this would be a realistic chain of emotion: glee over having shot down the enemy...followed by fear of being exposed as inept murderers with resulting international repercussions.

I am not Sherlock. We see this same reaction frequently when people make really bad mistakes.

Friendly fire in the military is an example.
