“Phillippines reports possible Ebola cases”

Let’s hope the little old lady at Gatwick just had a heart attack. Symptoms of that can include vomiting and sweating.

Oh dear...

Not good. And the death toll rises in the four countries, according to the latest (July 30) figures from WHO Africa.

As of 30 July 2014, the cumulative number of cases attributed to EVD in the four countries stands at 1,440 including 826 deaths.

From: http://www.afro.who.int/en/clusters-a-programmes/dpc/epidemic-a-pandemic-alert-and-response/outbreak-news/4238-ebola-virus-disease-west-africa-31-july-2014.html

This was on the 30th. There seem to be discrepancies in "official" numbers. I have no doubt that the actual numbers are much higher. There are so many unknowns with this horrible virus.

An asylum seeker who had arrived in Britain from Liberia was suspected of carrying the deadly virus Ebola, it has emerged

Oh look, it was not news until after the fact. Imagine that.

Besides which I would surely like to know which symptoms they are finding in people that keep testing negative.
